
Foreign travelers not residing in the country, from 18 years onwards, must present a vaccination certificate with a complete schedule to enter the country. Taking into account the similar epidemiological situation among countries in the region, travelers from MERCOSUR States Parties, as well as those from countries bordering Paraguay, are exempt from performing the RT-PCRn or antigen test. All persons entering with the neighborhood transit regime must prove that they reside in the border city. They do not require any health requirements for entry. The document will enter into force on January 12, 2022. Until that date, the one in force as of 11.29.21 will be in force.
In view of the epidemiological situation of increasing cases of COVID-19 at the global, regional and national levels, due to the spread of the variant of concern „Omnicron“, of high transmissibility, it is necessary to use the available protection strategies to reduce the impact of the disease at the population level, treating the vaccination against COVID-19 as the most effective measure to reduce the serious forms and considering the National Law No. 4,621 of Vaccines, articles 2 and 6, establishing new sanitary requirements for admission to the country.
